Keeping an eye on NBTA 2010

As you may have seen in our recent posts on the blog, Travel and Transport is gearing up for NBTA 2010! We will be at NBTA in full force this year with a large team of Travel and Transport employee-owners attending the event, going to sessions, meeting and interacting with people, etc.

It's often said in sports that the best seat in the house is at home in front of the television. That will be my seat for NBTA 2010 - not in front of the TV - but constantly watching Twitter, Facebook, blogs, e-mail, and my phone, in order to keep up with what's going on down in Houston.

I'll be staying at Travel and Transport headquarters to monitor everything that's going on. Not all of our NBTA team uses social media yet, so I'm having them send me quick emails, text messages, and photos as they get them throughout the day - periodic updates about what they're doing, what they're seeing, etc. As I get that stuff, I'll push it right out to you via Twitter and Facebook. These updates will be recapped daily on our InsideTandT blog as well as on our web site at www.tandt.com.

Something that Travel and Transport tries to focus on when we are writing for our blog and interacting via social media is that we are not journalists - there are plenty of great ones in the business travel industry, and they will be bringing you the in-depth coverage and stories of the event. What we hope to do is bring you Travel and Transport's perspective on the event, and we want to hear your perspective too.

We're asking you to get involved. If you happen to stop by our booth, or see a T&T employee-owner at an event, or just see and do anything that's interesting, let us know. Post it to our Facebook wall or Tweet it @tandtnews (Hint: also include NBTA's Twitter hash tag #NBTA10 so that everyone can see it - might make your follower count go up if nothing else).
